Dr. Friedman has a deep interest in analysis and processing of physiologic signals, remote monitoring, and use of technology (including wearable and implantable devices) to detect and treat physiologic abnormalities. He leads a team that has been developing artificial intelligence tools to detect and treat cardiovascular disease. He serves as principal investigator in multicenter global trials testing novel implantable devices and others utilizing remote monitoring of patient physiologic data. He is a trained electrical engineer with deep experience in innovation and has been honored as a top Minnesota inventor.
