Dr. Barzilai is a chaired Professor of Medicine and Genetics, Director of the largest center to study the Biology of Aging, and the principal investigator of the Einstein Nathan Shock Center and the Glenn Center. Dr. Barzilai studies families of centenarians that have provided genetic/biological insights on the protection against aging. Dr. Barzilai is on the Board of AFAR and serves as its scientific director. He is a founding member of the Academy for Lifespan and Healthspan, the Longevity Biotech Association, Longevity Medicine Society, and co-founded CohBar and Life Biosciences.
