Dr. Agronin is an adult and geriatric psychiatrist and the author of the acclaimed books The End of Old Age: Living a Longer, More Purposeful Life (2018) and How We Age: A Doctor’s Journey into the Heart of Growing Old (2011). He is the Senior Vice President for Behavioral Health and Chief Medical Officer for the Memory and Research Center at Miami Jewish Hospital (MJH), now called MIND Institute. He is currently spearheading the creation of a new empathy-based care model called Miami Jewish EmpathiCare™ along with the first EmpathiCare-based village for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, on the campus of MJH.
